It Technician - Field Warehouse Support

Cold-Link’s warehousing network has recently expanded and is under construction with a new 200,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility in Ellisville, Mississippi and we are actively recruiting for an experienced Information Technology Technician to support all Information Technology activities our new temperature-controlled food grade distribution center. The IT Tech will report directly to the General Manager, with direct support from the Corporate Information Technology Manager. As the warehouse is still under construction, we are looking for this job to begin in late April 2024.

We are looking for strong-minded and team driven individual who has experience in Scanner/VMU Set Up & Communication, Computer Networks, Cyber Security, IT Operation, IT Equipment Procurement, and Warehouse Management Systems.

Essential duties and Responsibilities:
This position will help Cold-Link Logistics with their daily and ongoing Information Technology needs. Scope of work includes managing hardware components, including but not limited to desktop and laptop computers, printers, RF scanners, internet and RF infrastructure, as well software programs and computer applications like warehouse management systems, telephone, email and other communication systems. Assisting with triage communication between vendors with issues arise. Tracking all instances of support by creating IT tickets using ticket-tracking software. This includes prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests. Updates the status of each ticket after successfully assisting each user with their issues. Team assistance and support may be conducted in person for internal/external users and/or vendors on the phone, text or email. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics tools.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum of an associate degree or two coursework equivalents in Computer Science or Information Technology
• 2 years working in warehousing, production, distribution (or equivalent) environment (preferred)
• 2 years of networking (data communication) experience
• A+ and Network+ Certification preferred
• Experience working with multiple OS (Windows, Linux, Mac, Android, iOS)
• Experience working with cloud applications
• Application support experience, Warehouse Management System preferred
• Knowledge in computer hardware and software
• Great Communication Skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve IT systems and computer related issues

Physical Requirements & Schedule:

• Core working hours are Mon-Fri dayshift but in rare emergency situations must be available for team support as needed during evening hours and weekends.
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.
• Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -20 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
