IT Support Technician – Help Desk
We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused IT Support Technician to assist our clients with computer hardware and software issues. You will be required to work via remote connection to resolve IT related issues and assist with software upgrades and systems integrations.
Technician should have basic knowledge of business IT systems, strong troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and be a quick learner. Technician will provide fast and effective support for clients experiencing basic hardware and software issues.
Responsibilities
- Respond to client support requests in a timely manner.
- Configure and troubleshoot workstations, servers, and network gear.
- Troubleshoot network and connection issues.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot operating systems and applications.
- Monitor, research, and resolve alerts from RMM.
- Advise clients on software and hardware upgrades.
- Create and update documentation for client IT environments.
- Complete job reports on a weekly basis.
- Be part of after-hours on-call schedule.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Familiar with IT ticketing system (ConnectWise Manage).
- Basic hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Basic networking – TCP/IP, firewalls, switches, DHCP, DNS, etc.
- Basic understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy.
- Experience with Office 365, Exchange Online, Azure AD.
- Experience with Microsoft Hyper-V or other virtualization technologies.
- Experience with RMM desired (ConnectWise Automate).
At least 1 year related work experience required.
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.
Technician may be asked to work after-hours on occasion due to hardware/software upgrades as needed.
