Job Description
IT Support Technician
The IT Support Technician will travel to company locations to install or repair, mainly CCTV, A/V & Cabling - troubleshooting, installing & repairing but will work on other computer systems as needed. Ability to Operate company vehicles is required. This is a Safety Sensitive position.
Key Responsibilities
· Cable Installation: Install, splice & terminate various types of cables – Ensure proper cable management & labeling
· CCTV Installation: Install, configure & maintain CCTV systems – Troubleshoot & resolve issues with CCTVs
· A/V Installation: Install & set up Audio/Visual systems – Configure and test A/V components
· System Testing: Conduct testing & quality assurance on installed cable, CCTV & A/V Systems – Document test results & provide reports
· Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on cable, CCTV & A/V systems – Identify & address potential issues
· Collaboration: Coordinate with other technicians & team members – Communicate effectively with clients
· Compliance: Ensure installations meet relevant codes & regulations – Stay updated on industry standards & best practices
· Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, configurations & maintenance activities – Provide detailed documentation
· Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients & Address customer inquiries & Concerns
· Safety: Adhere to safety protocols & guidelines – Identify & mitigate safety hazards
Specialized Knowledge & Required Skills
· Advanced knowledge of O365, including SharePoint, Exchange Online
· Task-oriented and organized, experience managing a ticket queue and ability to prioritize
· Able to troubleshoot a large variety of technical issues
· Experience in remote support & working under pressure
· Assume additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned
· Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
· Must be comfortable in confined spaces. Knowledge of industry safety practices
Preferred Skills
· Hands on experience with help desk and remote-control software
· Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience
· Proficient in cable splicing, termination & installation techniques
· Familiarity with A/V systems & their components
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Knowledge of LOC Retail Inventory Management and POS System
Preferred Certifications
· Certification in Cable Installation or related field preferred
· CCTV Installation Certification
· A/V Installation Certification
