Job Summary
This position provides direct IT Support to the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences - its Faculty, Staff, and Student researchers at the University of Texas at Dallas Richardson campus and Callier Center for Communication Disorders in Dallas, TX.
Scope of support includes enterprise services, business processes, software, hardware, desktop, mobile devices, network, and systems, working under general supervision, brings unusual or exceptional issues to supervisor.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stoop, balance, crawl, kneel, and use arms, legs and back to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, talk, and hear, use hands to feel, manage or operate objects, tools, or controls, use a telephone and computer for extended periods of time; reach with hands and arms. The employee must maintain the physical condition appropriate to perform job duties, which may include sitting/standing for extended periods of time.
Environmental Conditions:
Academic classrooms, computer labs, offices, conference rooms, research laboratories, and clinical offices.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or related field with 1 year of related experience,
OR Associate's Degree in Information Systems or related field with 2 years of related experience,
OR 4 years of related experience,
OR any equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.

Remote Work:
Remote work schedule will be discussed after a 3-month training period and review. Completion and approval of a UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required upon employment, and use of personal computer, internet, and other standard equipment may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to regular review and re-approval and may be canceled at any time.
Travel:Attend required meetings as assigned, which may require traveling on and off campus on foot or by own transportation.

- Maintain IT inventory
- Configure and deploy IT equipment for faculty and staff according to UTD policies
- Diagnose and remediate software /hardware issues in a thorough and timely manner
- Maintain detailed records of task progress/completion and communications with customers
- Effectively communicate IT policies and procedures with non-technical customers
