JOB DESCRIPTION
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware/software, networks infrastructures, and servers.
- Config firewall, routers, switches, wireless AP, and other network hardware.
- Collaborate with network and system architects to optimize system performance.
- Secure network systems with policies that define and monitor access.
- Works to identify, resolve, and/or correct various system errors or failures. Addresses problems in hardware, software and/or procedures.
- Performing system backups and data recovery.
- Desktop support, managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Collaborates with other departments on processes and projects.
- Identifies user requirements, evaluates solution alternatives, and makes recommendations for the selection of software/hardware.
- Providing technical support and training to end users.
- Working with vendors to determine system selections based on budget, technical functionality, and support.
- Documenting technical processes and organizational guidelines and enforce system standards.
- Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or remotely)
- Advising upper management about IT issues; Analysis and selection of new technology
- Performs related work as required
- Proven expertise with Fortinet or Cisco products, CCNA or CCNP certificated.
- A diverse skillset including network design, troubleshooting.
- CloudComputing: familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including cloud-based services, deployment models and maintenance.
- Deep understanding of the various components and services included in the Microsoft 365 suite. This includes expertise in cloud-based collaboration and productivity tools such as Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange Online, and OneDrive for Business.
- Project Management: ability to manage the SOP development process, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
- Excellent communication skills and team-working tendencies
- A penchant for multi-tasking and self-starting
- Graduation from an accredited college or university in computer science or MIS, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of security best practices, including firewalls, antivirus, intrusion detection, and vulnerability management
- Storage Management: knowledge of storage technologies, including RAID, SAN, NAS
- Virtualization: experience with virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V for managing virtual machines
- Strong hands-on skills with TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing, and switching
- Top-notch Window OS, Microsoft 365 skills
- Bilingual in English and Chinese Mandarin required
