Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Support Specialist 2 to join our dynamic IT team. As an IT Support Specialist 2, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the overall functionality of our organization's IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems. This position will be full-time in office for training with the possibility of remote/hybrid after the training period.


Responsibilities:

End-User Support:

  • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Respond to user inquiries and resolve problems via telephone, email, remote assistance, or in person.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems.

Hardware and Software Maintenance:

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and system upgrades.

Documentation:

  • Create and maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
  • Document solutions to common problems and share knowledge with the team.

Security Compliance:

  • Ensure that IT systems and infrastructure adhere to security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the security team to implement and enforce security measures.
  • User Training:
  • Conduct training sessions for end-users on IT-related topics to enhance overall digital literacy.
  • Create user guides and documentation for common IT processes.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; OR equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office suite.
  • Experience with desktop and server operating systems.
  • Knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
  • VmWare / Hyper V 
  • AD, Remote Desktop, DNS, Group Policy
  • TCP/IP Networking, Firewalls, VPNS
  • RMM Tools (Ncentral, Ninja, Kaseya, Automate, Autotask)
  • Windows Server OS Management
  • Patch Management
  • IT Infrastructure-server, cloud, and networking

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts in non-technical terms to end-users.

Problem-Solving:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Team Collaboration:

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and share knowledge effectively.
  • Willingness to mentor and assist junior team members.
