Summary
About the Position: Participate in the formulation, development, preparation, presentation, and administration of U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command's worldwide information systems objectives, policies, programs, plans, and projects.

Duties
  • Implement information management programs to provide needed services.
  • Evaluate implemented information management programs for efficiency and adequacy.
  • Ensure information management plans, programs and operations are properly integrated.
  • Develop policies and/or guidance regarding short and long-range information management program requirements.
  • Administer contracts for development and programming of information systems.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to standards to ensure accuracy and security of organization's databases and information systems.
  • Assure contractors comply with budgetary guidelines and policies during implementation of information programs.
  • Make recommendations regarding program adjustments to meet command conditions and situations.
  • Ensure compatibility of information programs with policies and program guidance.
  • Lead conferences to resolve differences between command groups in the development of regulations and procedures.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires access to classified information. Incumbent of the position will be required to complete a Form SF 312, Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement (NDA).
  • Must successfully complete a Pre-Employment and periodic urinalysis exam. Position subject to random drug testing IAW AR 600-85.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience is defined as: assist in the formulation and administration of worldwide information systems objectives, policies, programs, and projects; administer contracts for development and programming of information systems; evaluate information systems performance and resolving problems; and assist in the development of plans, programs, budgets and guidance in the preparation of program requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.

How You Will Be Evaluated
You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
