Job Description:
The resources must be in SCAL area. Resource must be able to report to Rosemead when needed and to be able to drive to SCE outlying office, service centers as needed.
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related specialized field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Specialized certification may be required. Typically possesses six or more years experience in the field performing analysis and providing recommendations. Ability to provide extensive technical analysis in data planning, engineering and design and make decisions or recommendations for programs and projects development and implementation. Ability to interface with clients to determine requirements. Provides answers to clients by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding client through corrective steps. Improves client references by writing and maintaining documentation. Participates in development of client training programs by identifying learning issues; recommending instructional language. Accommodates client disabilities by recommending devices and techniques. Avoids legal challenges by monitoring compliance with service agreements. Improves system performance by identifying problems; recommending changes. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; maintaining personal networks. Accomplishes information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload
Help to manage and administer Wi-Fi environment throughout the SCE enterprise. This includes monitoring, triage, coordination of resources to ensure and restore service. Respond to trouble tickets. Help to plan for ongoing growth of Wi-Fi Services. Coordinate Change activity relating to IOS upgrades. Assist as needed with ongoing optimization of the environment. Work closely with other operational or engineering teams to address issues that expand beyond immediate area of control. Help to develop documentation and procedures which help to develop capabilities of others in the work group. Needs to be based in SCAL because of the requirements to perform site break fix, assessments, install, triage activities as they arise.
Required Skills/Attributes
Hands on working knowledge with CISCO infrastructure. This include Wireless lan controllers and Access Points, Routers and Switches. Hands on use with CISCO DNAC, deploying IOS, performing device discovery and application management of DNAC. Ability to use Splunk to develop informative dashboards. Familiarity with Ansible or Python coding to initiate and lead automation efforts. Confident and able to work with all levels of IT staff. Excellent communication and Team focused work qualities.
