Role Summary:
The Kindeva IT Manager for ERP Test and Release is an individual contributor role responsible for ERP testing and release functions related to sustain and new project work. The role operates at the crossroads between IT, Business SME network, and Quality and Compliance. The role is responsible designing, executing, and managing a matrix of resources for all Microsoft D365 F&O ERP testing and release operations.
Role Responsibilities:

  • Develops comprehensive test strategy and approach for D365 projects, outlining testing objectives, methodologies, and timelines.
  • Creates or leverages matrix resources to create detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure risk-based test coverage of D365 functionalities and business processes.
  • Oversees execution of the testing strategy, including coordinating resources and assignments to complete scoped test cases, ensuring that testing activities are conducted according to the defined test plan.
  • Manages the defect tracking process, identifying, and documenting defects, and working with matrixed resources to resolve or disposition.
  • Evaluates the feasibility of test automation and implementing automated testing where applicable to improve efficiency and scalability of testing efforts.
  • Coordinates the preparation of test data and ensuring that realistic and relevant data is available for testing.
  • Plans and conducts performance testing to evaluate the responsiveness and scalability of D365 applications.
  • Manages regression testing efforts to validate that system changes do not adversely impact existing functionalities.
  • Coordinates and collaborate with end-users and business stakeholders during UAT, providing guidance, and addressing any testing-related concerns.
  • Generates test status reports, metrics, and quality indicators to communicate the testing progress and results to project stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement to enhance the overall quality of D365 implementations.
  • Identifies and assess risks related to testing activities and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinates the setup and maintenance of test environments to ensure the availability of suitable testing environments.
  • Provides leadership and mentorship to various matrix resources (vendor, business, IT), ensuring testing team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
  • Works closely with project managers, SI vendors, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Drives coordination of system integration testing including environment configuration and supporting design activities where relevant.
  • Ensures appropriate test documentation and traceability are maintained for reuse and lifecycle maintenance as well as run-state support.
  • Coordinates with Business stakeholders and IT for releases communications and help facilitate positioning.
  • Helps develop and maintain an internal business network of Super Users and SMEs to provide input and execution for test and release execution.
  • Stays abreast of D365 channel patches and planned upgrades to proactively predict and plan future testing/release execution.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Associate degree with 10 years of IT experience in testing/release management. At least 3 years of ERP test/release management.
  • Manufacturing experience within scope of experience
  • Strong knowledge of key ERP meta-process models (Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Plan to Produce, etc)
  • Strong vendor management experience; managing vendor outsourced testing and contracted resources.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bio or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • GxP regulations for drug or combo-device products.
  • Project Management Professional or relevant testing lead certification (eg ITSQB).
  • Experience with Global Trade / Trade Compliance.

Frequent contacts with internal and external personnel at various management levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases of projects or contracts. Actively involved in daily operations. Accomplishes results through experienced staff colleagues.
