Hopkins, MN is home to our Michael Foods, Inc. corporate headquarters. Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced SAP FI/CO team lead to manage a small team of analysts to oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of functionality within our SAP Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex SAP projects, driving process improvements, and providing strategic guidance to enhance financial performance. This leader will play a pivotal role in many transformational projects over the upcoming years, including preparation and migration to S/4HANA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of business analysts to design, configure, and implement functionality within SAP FI/CO modules and related applications to support business requirements.
- Act as a subject matter expert on SAP FI/CO functionality, providing guidance on strategic decisions as well as support to business analysts and end users, as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
- Manage day-to-day operations of the SAP FI/CO system, including troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and implementing enhancements.
- Develop policies and procedures related to SAP FI/CO documentation, including functional specifications, test plans, and training materials.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize financial processes and enhance system performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls within the SAP FI/CO environment.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including finance, IT, and external vendors.
- Manage IT budget for financial applications and external consulting.
- Stay current on SAP best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and efficiency.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of varied experience across SAP FI/CO modules, with some experience in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and business processes.
- Proficiency in SAP ECC 6.0 or S/4HANA FI/CO modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Asset Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Product Costing, and Internal Orders.
- Experience leading full lifecycle SAP projects, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with SAP Invoice Management by OpenText a plus
