What You'll Do

Project Overview:

 

Team Shop is the #1 growth opportunity for Baseball/Softball. In order to better service the Baseball/Softball player and grow team.shop, we must improve our custom sublimated apparel and uniform images and production assets on the site. 3D renderings for custom products minimizes discrepancies between the visuals customers are approving pre-production and the reality of the finished goods. It allows us to anticipate, identify, resolve, and modify pre-manufacturing errors, increasing productivity and reduce garment waste. This intern project is building a library of 3D apparel and uniform renderings for use on team.shop and consumer facing mockups to grow sales of custom products on team.shop efficiently.

 

Responsibilities to accomplish the project will include:

• Explore the possibilities of design with a 3D workspace and assist in building library of 3D cads to increase efficiency for mockups and production of team.shop products, driving growth of uniforms and apparel sales in Wilson's Baseball/Softball division
• Train in Browzwear V-Stitcher software both independently and with guidance of Apparel Designers to learn processes and protocols for 3D rendering
• Convert approved production patterns into 3D renderings for use on consumer facing mockups and team.shop platform
• Collaborate with designers and product line managers on creating unique sublimated uniform and Apparel Designs for upcoming season based on assigned briefs
• Research seasonal uniform and apparel trends for Baseball/Softball players
• Maintain 3D rendering library
• Manage 3D materials, trims, and artwork libraries
• Communicate cross-functionally with production facilities to ensure renderings are accurate representations of finalized products
• Assist in tech pack creation and updates

What We're Looking For

Qualifications for our candidate will include:

• Thorough knowledge of garment construction
• Basic fit and pattern making skills
• Understanding of performance materials (drape, fit, and construction)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Self-motivated, excellent time management skills, and able to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational and presentation skills
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
• Proficiency in Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Experience in 3D software a plus
• Working towards a degree in fashion design or similar field
