At Boston Scientific, our products and technologies are used to diagnose or treat a wide range of medical conditions. In Cardiovascular IT, we design digital solutions used to complement our new product lines across our Atrial Fibrillation, Cardiac Rhythm Management, Interventional Cardiology, and Peripheral Intervention divisions. We have an exciting opportunity on our team for a Digital Product Manager to work in partnership with R&D, Marketing, Digital Health, Sales, Legal, Regulatory, and other internal stakeholders to shape digital health and medical device software strategy.

Our ideal candidate is driven with a strong product mindset and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Your responsibilities will include:

Lead and Interface Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the interface between IT teams and divisional R&D, Marketing, and Program Management teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in IT and R&D, and partner with Quality, Regulatory, Legal, Security, Privacy, and other functions for compliant software delivery.

Methodology Integration:

  • Integrate Agile, Lean, and User-Centered Design methodologies for product development, implementation, and operations.

Product Development and Decision Making:

  • Take responsibility for product development prioritization and decisions on releases in close partnership with end users and the business.
  • Collaborate with Designers to lead kickoff, Discovery and Framing, and other exploratory activities for each project.
  • Establish the Product Roadmap in collaboration with Product Owners.

Ensuring Compliance and Quality:

  • Ensure the incorporation of product security, data privacy, quality, UX/UI/Ethnography principles, methodologies, and enabling technologies.

Objective Setting and Tracking:

  • Establish and track measurable objectives for the team.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Foster collaboration between designers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Inform product decisions by collecting and prioritizing designer, engineer, and business stakeholder input.
  • Adjust product direction based on data, customer feedback, and business stakeholder feedback.
  • Manage the backlog and continually de-risk the product direction.

Meetings and Communication:

  • Conduct team meetings (Standup, IPM – Iteration Planning Meeting, Retro) and help plan and facilitate stakeholder and end-user meetings/interviews.
  • Communicate product updates to business stakeholders through frequent communications such as a bi-weekly demo.
  • Foster team culture, communication, and sustainable workload/pace.

Stakeholder Trust and Project Management:

  • Build trust with stakeholders, working through difficult transitions to agile best practices.
  • Manage and communicate project statuses to partners and stakeholders.

Industry Awareness and External Partnerships:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive the adoption of modern Lean/Agile/DevOps practices.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for external partnerships to evaluate and translate digital technologies.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Digital Product management to help shape the digital future of Boston Scientific.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or another relevant discipline.
  • 4+ years of demonstrated experience in Digital Product management, product design, or product engineering.
  • Experience leading in a team environment to deliver Digital Products that achieve expected outcomes, and the ability to coordinate high-quality product releases.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally including experience with software as a medical device (SaMD).
  • Expert practitioner of agile development methodologies, lean startup, and design thinking methodologies.
  • Experience working with databases, analytics teams, big data, artificial intelligence/machine learning, AWS, or Snowflake.
  • Experience with Digital Products or medical imaging technologies in Interventional Oncology or Interventional Radiology.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that can operate independently with little direction and challenge the status quo.
  • Analytical mindset – understands the key impact on customers and stakeholders.

Requisition ID: 573712
