It Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT Manager to oversee our organization's technological infrastructure. The IT Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day IT operations, ensuring the security and efficiency of our systems, and implementing effective IT strategies that support our business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

100% ONSITE in our NC office.
Responsibilities:

Support Desk 60%

• Manage help desk employees and verify help desk issues are handled in a timely manner.
• Answer calls and emails on user issues pertaining to technology.
• Work with ERP software provider to remediate problems and request program changes as needed to support the needs of the departments.
• Work closely with managed service providers.
• Communicate system issues with the IT team and when necessary to managers and employees.
• Help develop and maintain a ticketing system for service desk calls.

Security Compliance 20%

• Work through Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification processes and update reporting and policies as needed for compliance.
• Work closely with managed service providers to maintain relationships and learn of any potential security threats that need to be addressed.
• Verify security processes are within compliance.

Hardware Infrastructure – 10%

• Maintain hardware replacements and upkeep as needed.
• Support all business unit’s hardware needs.
• Responsible for working with department and branch leaders on infrastructure needs.
• Proactively identify and propose infrastructure improvements to create efficiencies where possible.
• Document hardware updates and changes in accordance with CMMC/NIST guidelines.

Software Management – 10%

• Serve as company ambassador for implemented software.
• Administer software updates and communicate with staff information as needed.
• Evaluate and make suggestions on software to improve day to day operations.

Qualifications:

Must have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing and overseeing IT operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, and security best practices.
• Proficient in network administration, database management, and cloud computing.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully managing and developing a team.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as data protection and privacy laws.

Preferred skills and experience:

• Industry certifications, such as ITIL or PMP, are highly desirable.
• Previous experience with help desk support.
• Working knowledge of ERP software functions.
• Working Knowledge of networking.
• Working Knowledge of VMWare management.
