BEP has multiple brands that serve as produce management advisors to restaurants, hotels, and other foodservice operators. These companies assist with securing produce contracts, specifying produce quality, monitoring produce safety and other functions that make produce sourcing and purchasing more profitable for our clients. The Buyers Edge Platform Produce Operations team supports the sales and operating teams for both Produce Alliance and Fresh Concepts. Produce Alliance and Fresh Concepts are two produce management brands within the Buyers Edge Platform organization. This team combines technology and solutions to spark innovation to better support clients and key stakeholders by creating more efficient processes.
This role can be remotely based or hybrid out of one of our offices. We are unable to provide sponsorship for work authorization for this role.
We are seeking an IT EDI Support Specialist who will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth exchange of vital information between our organization and external partners. This position will ensure the efficient implementation and management of EDI processes, safeguarding the integrity of our operations and avoiding disruptions in supply chain and business relationships.
Your impact:
- Managing EDI errors in various flat file formats, ensuring they can be internally processed.
- Generating a weekly reports processing errors for all clients, which will aid Account Managers in identifying item code errors.
- Participating in cross-training with fellow support team members
- Undertaking various other support-related tasks related to orders, invoices, and pricing.
- Developing ad-hoc solutions as unique needs arise.
About you:
- 2-year college degree or equivalent certifications in related competency
- 2+years' experience in a related role preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Office and Excel skills
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of EDI protocols, standards and file formats
- Proficiency using EDI software and tools
- The ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.
- Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to data transmission
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to quickly identify and resolve issues along with a proactive approach to prevent potential problems
- Ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
- Strong customer service orientation
