POSITION SUMMARY:
As a 211 LA IT Business Analyst, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions, utilizing Scrum and Agile methodologies. The IT Business Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, elicit requirements, and ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of both business processes and information technology.
POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Requirement Gathering
- Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to understand and document business processes, objectives, and requirements.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather comprehensive and accurate business requirements.
- Analysis and Documentation
- Analyze and document current business processes, systems, and workflows.
- Create clear and detailed business requirement documents, user stories, and process flows.
- Systems Solution Design
- Collaborate with development teams within the framework of Scrum and Agile methodologies to design effective and efficient IT solutions.
- Provide input on system architecture, functionality, and user experience based on business requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the IT team, ensuring clear communication and understanding of requirements.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Present findings, updates, and project status to various stakeholders.
- Onboarding New Customer and System Configurations
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new customers, ensuring a seamless integration with our systems.
- Collaborate with technical teams to configure systems based on customer specifications.
- Document and communicate customer-specific system configurations.
- Testing and Quality Assurance
- Develop and execute test plans within Agile sprints to ensure the quality and accuracy of IT solutions.
- Work with QA teams to validate that the developed solutions meet business requirements
- Change Management
- Assess the impact of proposed changes on existing systems and processes.
- Facilitate change management strategies and implement changes within Agile frameworks.
- Project Management
- Assist in Agile project planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters and project managers to ensure timely and within-budget delivery of IT projects.
- Assist in implementing ITSM Processes including Request, Incident and Problem Management.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within both business and Agile/Scrum processes.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Perform special assignments and other duties as assigned and in accordance with established Agency mission and values.

- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP or similar).
- Familiarity with data modeling and database concepts.
- Experience with business intelligence tools like Tableau and Power BI.
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong understanding of ITSM Process including Request Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Backlog , Bugs, Enhancements etc.
- Basic Understanding of Cloud and SaaS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in Computer Science or related field.
- At least 1-3 years of relevant work experience in delivering advanced multi-tier, distributed web applications with appealing and highly responsive user interfaces.
COMPENSATION RANGE:
Ranges from $65,000-$70,000 / Year; salary is commensurate with prior experience, education, and abilities.

- Must be able to work independently, comply with job description requirements/expectations, and get the job done
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
As a 211 LA County IT Business Analyst, you will regularly be required to: work in a dedicated workspace or desk and work at a computer or from a smartphone for extended periods of time.
ANALYTICAL/REASONING REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to evaluate and resolve problems involving multiple variables in complex situations. Requires excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with internal and external customers. Ability to manage high levels of stress; possess well-proven time management skills allowing movement from one task to another on a moment’s notice, and still complete projects on time.
