Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Information Technology Department is seeking a full-time IT Business Analyst to join our Team of I/T based Business Analysts.
Role:
- Responsibilities include working with a component of our IT department – for example, Network Services (NOC), Security Operations (SOC), or another similar IT group.
- The successful candidate will collaborate with the IT Department and Kwik Trip Business units to ensure alignment with the company's technology and security strategies.
- Work with an IT group such as the NOC or SOC to identify their needs for new technology and security initiatives and design and propose appropriate solutions and strategies.
- Gather input from department leaders and leading industry experts to determine necessary changes and enhancements
- Utilize JIRA, Service Now and Scrum methodologies to help with defining, planning and prioritization of work
- Design and develop innovative solutions with technical staff
- Translate complex technical information into practical information for business stakeholders
- Perform technical functions and resolve issues with technical and business staff, external vendors, and other project stakeholders
- Assist business and IT staff with the creation and maintenance of documentation relating to business processes
- Determine if existing processes can be enhanced with new technology or improved processes
Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent degree from a two year college, as well as five or more years’ experience as a IT Systems Analyst, Information Systems Analyst, and/or experience with business process reviews.
Candidates should possess the following:
- Experience or knowledge of SOC, NOC, System Administration or other network services technologies and terminologies.
- Outstanding organization skills, including ability to handle multiple assignments or projects concurrently
- Experience with or understanding of standardized database design and administrative tasks (DB2 or SQL Server)
- Knowledge of Agile project management and ITIL methodology
- Knowledge of ServiceNow and JIRA
- Experience with cloud infrastructure technologies is a plus
- Experience with Windows and Linux server OS is a plus
- Previous experience working with executive management, employing the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- Experience or knowledge of current security best practices and procedures
Successful candidates should demonstrate:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software for word processing, spreadsheets, visualizations, and project planning

- Strong leadership to effectively influence change
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Ability to educate individuals on new systems as well as changing software features and functionalities
- Ability to develop approaches to solving problems in new business situations and technical environments
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with department directors, managers, co-workers, and external vendors
- Ability to ask appropriate questions, interpret co-worker requests, and develop detailed functional design specifications
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours, or as needed to perform duties.
