This IT Analyst Infrastructure position is for the individual with the desire to work in a technical capacity, onsite at Caterpillar’s USDT Bldg KK & H facilities located in the Peoria, IL. Area. This position comprises supporting facility end computing devices, applications, and site-specific infrastructure. Candidate will perform implementation, integration, support, and security compliance for both PC based hardware and software. Candidate will participate in and assist with application account administration and management. Additionally, candidate will have the ability to consult and participate in facility related projects introducing/deployment technology to support business related initiatives. We seek a results-oriented team player willing to work on sometimes tight schedules, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills. Candidate must also be a self-starter and possess strong initiative/willingness to understand business processes.
What You Will Do:
Provide PC hardware/software support for devices including corporate deployed IT assets at the USDT Bldg KK & H facilities
Provide PC operating system support and security patch updates/deployments
If requested, assist facility with hardware diagnosis including engaging with 3rd party vendors
Basic understanding of network infrastructure (switches, routers, cabling, architecture understanding)
Performing basic network and server equipment installation under the direction and support from Caterpillar’s infrastructure team
Assist with Caterpillar and vendor (factory floor) on application/software related issues
Provide Root Cause Analysis on issues impacting computers on the factory floor and make necessary corrections or make recommendations to the site on changes to improve/resolve impact
Assist with supporting Caterpillar developed applications including initial troubleshooting
Assist with non-standard account administration in Active Directory
Assist with other factory IT projects and initiatives as requested.
What You Have:
Prefer Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent including strong IT experience in each of the following:
Information technology
PC related hardware/software technology
Backend infrastructure (server, storage, database, network)
Excellent written and oral communications
Desired but not required experience within each of these areas:
Enterprise and Technical Architecture understanding
Office 360 client computing solutions
Application knowledge: Pinpoint, FreedomE, CIMNET, Rockwell, MES, GageIT, Infinity, Citrix
Project Management capabilities
Effective teamwork skills
Initiative (Self Starter)
CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Server and Client certifications
