Form of workTech client seeks experienced Paralegal to join their Trademark and Copyright legal team in Cupertino, CA. In this role, you'll work on copyright and trademark matters including Copyright Prosecution and Disputes/Enforcement in the fast-paced IP & Licensing group. Full-time, M-F (in office Tu-Th), $45-52/hr depending on relevant experience. Long-term contractor position.
Responsibilities:
- Perform docketing and paralegal work for client's Trademark and Copyright team
- Collaborate with client's business partners
- Coordinate with outside counsel (mostly U.S.) under team manager's direction. Work pertains to general copyright matters including disputes and intellectual property enforcement
Qualifications:
- Work independently; proactive decision-maker
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- 3+ years of paralegal experience, highly preferred
- Solid macOS knowledge
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain a highly organized docket
- Prior professional experience working in fast-paced legal environment, preferred
- Adept at timely correspondences through online messaging systems, including Slack
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, or AA Degree with equivalent experience
- Paralegal Certificate, preferred
