Role Value Proposition
Responsible for day-to-day transaction processing for MetLife Stable Value IPG and Capital Markets Investment Products. This position is responsible for establishing and maintaining positive and professional relationships with clients and business partners by administering a portfolio of contracts to ensure timeliness of transaction processing, transaction reporting, statement issuance, and escalation resolution
Key Responsibilities
- Under general supervision, perform day to day transaction processing (deposits, withdrawals, and transfers) in one business day, including:
- Read, interpret, and determine the requested transaction of a newly arrived client trade sheet
- Perform peer review for accuracy of previous day transactions on the pensions accounting system and report errors and solutions to the original processor
- Update financial, administrative and imaging systems with transaction information and related documentation
- Review Schedule A and C client reports for accuracy prior to automated annual mailing based on clients' contract plan year
- Investigate discrepancies between schedule A and records in the financial management system, and perform recounts or manual processing as needed
- Resolve internal and external client escalations within one business day and determine best course of action based on received reports of a client escalation
- Fully implement new contracts by the time funds are deposited, including setup of client web access to online statements and automated delivery of schedule A and C, provision of all necessary process instructions to the client, and initial deposit processing
- Ensure online client access to monthly fund balance statements; obtain and verify client access information and grant client access to online statements
- Foster good client relations with internal and external business partners
Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills
Required:
- 2-5+ years of relevant experience
- Verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and multiple tasks simultaneously
- Skilled at working independently and as a team
- Able to build and maintain positive working relationships with associates, brokers, and customers
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- Ability to proficiently learn and use core systems
- Able to review lengthy trade documents, ensure their accuracy and validity, and extract pertinent information
Preferred:
- Financial or insurance industry experience
- 4-year college degree
- Knowledge of A&I Operations: Can identify the major A&I product categories and the major activities of the operations and administrative support process and understands basic principles, processes, and terminology of the A&I business
