Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking to fill several roles for a full-time Investigation Support Specialist for our Risk Decision Group . This position is 100% remote.
What you'll do:
The Investigative Support Specialistwill be responsible for the following but not limited to:
- This position requests and processes confidential information and may correspond in a variety of ways including telephone, email, and mail to obtain information required for items assigned to them.
- This position will work on assigned special projects and reports as needed.
- Maintains and updates multiple database systems with accuracy and efficiency.
- Work is routine and repetitive and follows various standardized operating procedures. Assign, re-assign, cancel, and change work assignments in the computer database.
- Conduct telephone inquiries regarding financial, legal, education and employment records and translate them into a written report.
- Provide outstanding customer service to representatives from various creditors, institutions, agencies, as well as Peraton field investigators throughout the US.
- Communicate with field investigators regarding the process of obtaining the correct releases needed for retrieval of required financial, legal, educational and employment information.
- The chosen candidate for this position must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a government security clearance. This clearance requires U.S. citizenship and will include an investigation of 10+ years of history including such items as financial, education, employment, medical, residence and personal records.
- This position is 100% remote.
Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Ability to obtain security clearance
- 1 year of customer service experience
- 1 year of clerical experience
- Must be currently cleared on DCSA and/or DHS contracts.
Desired qualifications:
- Currently hold a Security Clearance
- Ability to interact with a variety of individuals and personalities professionally and effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment with limited supervision
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficient writing and communication skills
