Job Summary: As the Inventory and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end inventory management process and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the supply chain. You will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory levels, minimizing costs, and maximizing efficiency in logistics operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational and analytical skills.

Job Summary: As the Inventory and Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end inventory management process and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through the supply chain. You will play a crucial role in optimizing inventory levels, minimizing costs, and maximizing efficiency in logistics operations. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong organizational and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Develop and implement effective inventory control strategies to optimize the process between physical cycle counts, the inventory database (Sortly), and accounting.
- Be responsible for tabulating results of regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Collaborate with purchasing and production teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Maintain inventory management software (Sortly) to track and manage inventory movements.
- Communicate with accounting on a monthly basis to ensure reconciliation between Sortly and Accounting Software.
- Logistics Operations:
- Oversee the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Coordinate with external logistics partners, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure seamless operations.
- Develop and optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
- Monitor and analyze logistics performance metrics, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Initiate a process with which as Inventory leaves the company’s physical locations to input into Sortly and provide data to accounting.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead the initiative to work directly with carriers via a bid process, and maintain that the relationship is cost effective.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient working environment to achieve team goals.
- Set and monitor KPIs to ensure team and individual performance aligns with organizational objectives.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- Monitor and address issues related to customs, regulations, and compliance.
- Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, logistics performance, and key metrics for management review.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or experience in a related field.
- Proven experience in inventory management and Logistics operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to learn and be a team player
- Proficient in the use of inventory management software and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics.
