Entry-Level Purchasing/Inventory Clerk

Founded in 1990, LGH stands at the forefront of the hoisting and rigging equipment rental industry, providing rental equipment responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of everything from the bridges you drive on to the sports stadiums you visit.

In this position, you’ll play a crucial role in performing inventory control and purchasing functions for all LGH rental centers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate purchase orders for sales or stock purchases and allocate items to customer order, stock, or warehouse(s) as applicable.
• Compare pricing and nominal codes between invoices and purchase orders to verify accuracy; research and resolve discrepancies accordingly.
• Support warehouses throughout inventory audit process for new stock, parts, and chain as needed; review and compare cycle count list, physical count, and LGH system to resolve discrepancies and adjust as needed.
• Assist with conducting plant audits of rental equipment and investigating problems with rental equipment (wrong numbers, wrong stamp, lost item returned from customer, etc.).
• Partner with supervisor to maintain an updated inventory of new stock and parts for warehouses based on the min/max levels established for each location, order new stock equipment, and generate purchase orders.
• Investigate issues with rental equipment serialization (wrong numbers, wrong stamp, etc.)
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain necessary information to set up new accounts and initiate any credits due.
• Communicate with vendors regarding shortages, damaged items, or discrepancies, and maintain related documentation.
• Investigate customers returned lost items, or sale items; return to stock and issue credits as needed.
• Attend regular meetings in person or virtually regarding misc. duties relating to stock levels, etc.
• Process orders submitted via warehouse requests; initiate order with supplier(s), receive order, pull and ship items, etc.
• Complete process for assignment of serial numbers for new rental equipment.
• Match and link purchase orders scanned from warehouses with related packing slips and invoices.
• Input invoices received daily to be processed for payment.
• Provide assistance with maintenance of freight, uniforms, UPS, and credit cards spreadsheets as needed.
• Verify and process freight and other invoices for approval in a timely manner.
• Assist with weekly completion of inventory count updates for parts and chain movement for all warehouses.
• Enter ship-direct sales and generate delivery tickets and enter.
• Review and price warehouse damage work records.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior Inventory and Purchasing experience strongly preferred.
• 1+ years experience using Microsoft Excel/Word/Teams required.

Schedule: Monday – Friday; 10:00 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. CST
