We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated International Shipping/Receiving Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for managing our international shipments, ensuring they are processed, packed, and shipped in compliance with International Shipping regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, proficiency in basic computer tasks, and the ability to handle packages with care, including lifting heavy items when required.
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in basic math and familiarity with standard computer applications.
- Strong understanding of International Shipping practices, including customs regulations and documentation requirements.
- Ability to consistently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent organizational skills to adapt and assist in various roles within the shipping department, with a focus on international shipments.
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with international carriers and addressing any shipping inquiries or issues.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Use computer systems to track, log, and process international shipments, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Pack products effectively to prevent damage during international transport, adhering to international packing standards.
- Serve as a point of contact for international carriers and oversee the scheduling and receiving of international deliveries.
- Receive all incoming deliveries, ensuring that packages are accurately labeled, logged, and processed according to International Shipping protocols.
- Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy, especially for items frequently shipped internationally.
- Keep the workspace organized and free of unnecessary clutter, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for International Shipping operations.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks and any other duties as assigned by management to support the overall shipping department.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
