Job description

The Internal Communications Manager- Events, assigned to one of Pinkerton's largest global clients, will be responsible for building and supporting a strategic events strategy that enhances the organization's reputation, improves the employee experience, and supports a strong brand identity. The Manager is involved in the development and delivery of engaging virtual and in-person global and regional events. This role supports the client's objectives by building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders, developing third party advocates, and implementing best practices.

Essential Functions:

  1. Represent Pinkerton's core values of integrity, vigilance, and excellence.
  2. Build and support a strategic events strategy that enhances the organization's reputation, improves the employee experience, and supports a strong brand identity.
  3. Plan and execute event management plans for global and regional events to improve employee engagement.
  4. Create event plans, tools, and resources to enhance the event experience for the client's employees.
  5. Ensure events align to the organization's strategic goals.
  6. Lead the development and delivery of events or offsites, whether they are virtual or face-to-face.
  7. Proactively build and manage relationships with key internal stakeholders across a range of businesses and geographies to define and deliver on communication objectives.
  8. Monitor and measure the effectiveness of events with key performance indicators.
  9. Work with subject matter experts across the organization to share best practice and identify emerging needs.
  10. Support the identification, development, and integration of new technologies or initiatives, relating to events.
  11. Be responsible for the on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery of event outcomes.
  12. All other duties, as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Certifications:

Degree or similar qualifications in event management, corporate communications, hospitality, or a related discipline with at least three years of experience as an Event Coordinator/Manager or in a role managing large scale global events and associated communication plans. Working Conditions:

  • Able to work evenings and weekends, as required, to ensure the successful completion of work assignments.
  • Travel, as required (domestically and internationally).
Salary & Benefits Information:
Rate of pay: $95000 / year.
