Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess children through appropriate evaluation techniques under the guidance of the School Psychologist.
- Provide appropriate intervention strategies following the assessment process under the guidance of the School Psychologist.
- Report assessment results to parents and teachers under the guidance of the psychologist.
- Serve as a member of the Child Study Team with the guidance of the psychologist.
- Participates in in-service training.
- Gain familiarity with the duties of the School Psychologist, including a knowledge of assessment, utilization of school andcommunity resources, and the operation of the public school system.
- Maintain records of assessment techniques and results.
- Actively seeks greater knowledge of the field, through furthereducation, professional journals and professional organizations.
- Increases knowledge of the classroom, learning environment and child development by active participation in the classroom.
Qualifications: • Master's Degree with a major in psychology, official letter of approval as a School Psychologist intern from the Illinois Office of Education
SALARY: $20,000 stipend
