Scope Of Position:
Maintain all aspects of the procurement department. Work closely with other supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in plant facility. Attend meetings as scheduled or called. Perform various other duties as needed or as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all spend across manufacturing and operations processes
- Manage inventory team with 3 direct reports.
- Ensure compliance with Corporate driven category strategies
- Manage costs, track savings, and report out this data to Sr. Management
- Develop relationships with key internal stakeholders across the business
- Manage inventory processes to meet the company budget, and maintain plant efficiency.
- Build contingency plans for suppliers to ensure continuity of supply
- Identify and manage any risks across the all categories
- Acts as business partner to Operations and provides expert Sourcing insights, recommendations and guidance.
- Constructively challenges Plant Operations in order to identify new value and process optimization opportunities
- Identifies and drives strategic sourcing projects together with other sourcing projects/tasks.
- Develops systems and process roadmaps to optimize performance of sourcing and procurement activities.
- Assist R&D in sourcing new packaging and ingredients for projects.
- Manage all open PO, and workflow activities ensuring that PO’s are received and invoiced.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced proficiency of SAP and Microsoft Office Package
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles required
- Strong ability to work with numerical detail and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Ability to communicate with all levels of management and company personnel
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years of experience in managing $150 million spend in packaging, ingredient and supply categories
Working Conditions:
- Production and maintenance settings
- Slippery floors, cold temperatures, and loud ambient noise
- Ability to work 50+ hours
- Good attendance and safety records
Comments:
The schedule for this position is typically Mon - Fri. Weekend work required as scheduled. During Fall Season, Saturdays are typically scheduled.
