The QA engineering Team seeking a motivated, experienced Quality Engineering Intern to provide support to our front-end manufacturing Quality Engineering team located at ADI's Camas, Washington wafer fab. You will gain exposure to quality management systems and standards used in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. Projects may include solving complex problems in a cleanroom environment, working with defect and quality engineers to design systems that will improve quality within the manufacturing process and working with diverse teams involving engineering, maintenance, and manufacturing. You will make technical presentations to engineers and managers, including a capstone highlighting major accomplishments.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Work on advanced optical metrology tools used to automatically detect the process defects. Create inspection routine and programs called "Recipes"
- Write technical reports and participate in problem solving teams and projects
- Classify and establish the root cause for common defects seen in a manufacturing process flow
- Gain knowledge on semiconductor manufacturing process and quality requirements
Minimum qualifications
- Minimum education
- Enrolled in Bachelors degree program in electrical engineering, Chemical Engineering, Material Science or related discipline
- Minimum experience
- Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and/or device physics is preferred
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and statistical process control (SPC) is preferred
