We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Summer Intern to join our Manufacturing & Engineering Team and perform manufacturing related operations and continuous improvement tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Electrical or Computer Engineering with concentration in Control Systems and be able to work independently and collaboratively to ensure our systems are functioning efficiently.
Role/Responsibilities:
- Review system drawings and compare to field installation and document findings.
- Assist senior engineer or maintenance dept. with troubleshooting manufacturing equipment.
- Assist Controls Engineering with PLC related tasks as required.
- Change AutoCAD drawings for electrical systems to document field conditions.
- Perform system testing and ensure all components are functioning properly
- Develop and write testing scripts and test cases to ensure proper system functionality
- Document the system integration process, including detailed steps and procedures
- Assist senior engineers in analyzing test results and identifying areas for improvement
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all systems are integrated and functioning properly
- Assist with troubleshooting system issues and identifying solutions
- Communicate regularly with senior engineers and other team members to provide progress updates and receive feedback
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to team projects as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all testing and integration activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field(s) of study: Electrical or Computer Engineering,
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD Degree program at an accredited university.
- Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS, PhD)
- Rockwell PLC programming and systems
- Network (ethernet) troubleshooting and system design
- Ignition programming
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Program Information:
- Location: This position is in Casa Grande, AZ. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment.
- Availability: Full-time is preferred
- Anticipated Hours: 6:30am – 3:00pm
- Work Environment: List either or all: Plant Floor, Office, Lab
- Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable.
- Visa Sponsorship: Lucid may but is not obligated to sponsor foreign national employees requiring company sponsorship for U.S employment authorization.
