About the role
In this role, you will be reporting to the Manager, Origination Management and working directly with the Manager’s for Origination, Project Finance, and Policy and Strategy. Your primary role will be to support the build-out and on-going maintenance of a strategic document tracking all relevant information regarding the latest trends in existing and prospective markets. You will also work closely with team members from Project Development, Project Finance, and Marketing to analyze market feedback. The abilities to work both independently and as a team member are critical, as well as the desire and innovative mind set to operate as an important contributor within a fast-paced and growing leader in the renewable energy space.
The role is a 10-week internship program (June 3 – August 9), approximately 25-30 hours/wk
Responsibilities
- Assist in the research of all current and future “Aspen target markets” to identify near and longer-term trends including policy, pricing, and permitting that may impact Aspen’s targeted quotas and return profiles.
- Format documents in Microsoft Dynamics, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, according to guidelines provided by the Managers.
- Edit documents for grammar, spelling, factual accuracy, and clarity according to style guides and standards.
Minimum candidate requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field
- Must be a rising collegiate senior by Summer 2024
- Strong academic track record (GPA of 3.5 or above)
- A passion for, and deep commitment to, renewable energy
- Strong Microsoft office skills, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently based on periodic guidance and direction – with excellent organization, accuracy, and follow-up skills
- Ability to multitask and adapt in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
- Be able to establish and maintain effective cooperative working relationships with customers and company staff
- Outstanding academic and professional track record
Location: New York/Hybrid (in-office and remote). At Aspen, our work model includes three ways of working: remote, in-person, and hybrid (a hybrid of in-person and remote).
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $25 per hour for undergraduate & $45 per hour for graduate students.
