POSITION SUMMARY
The Intern - FPGA Engineer position reports to the Director of FPGA Engineering within the FPGA Engineering team. The successful individual in this role will redesign Digital Signal Processing and other key HDL blocks in the FPGA library to take advantage of Microchip PolarFire SoC or Ultrascale+ platform's features. This individual will present a slide deck of architecture, and testing methodology at the culmination of the project. The position is full-time, on-site daily Monday through Friday. The location for this role is Silvus Technologies' HQ in the heart of vibrant West LA.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Create efficient and well-written HDL blocks.
Plan and construct effective testbenches, test vectors, and simulations to verify HDL designs.
Document and present the architecture and testing methodology.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
In-progress bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical fields.  
Exposure to FPGA/RTL design or testing/verification.
Basic experience with tcl or python.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of fixed point arithmetic basics
Basic Matlab skills

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Indoor air-conditioned facility
$27 - $27 an hour
The pay range is NOT a guarantee, it is based on market research and peer data, and will vary depending on the
candidate's experience and qualifications.
