Job Summary
Responsibilities & Qualifications
This Internship is an entry-level opportunity with the technology and consulting engineering world. The primary objective is to gain experience by assisting senior consultants, project managers, and principals with the design of technology infrastructure systems for hospital, data center, higher education, corporate, and government projects. This includes helping to design documents in both REVIT and AutoCad (primarily REVIT), attending project meetings, supporting engineers and consultants with required tasks, and specification development. The technology systems include cabling systems, local area networks, wireless systems, voice communications, nurse call, overhead paging, security access control, video surveillance, audio-visual, and other specialty systems.
Responsibilities:

• Support Designers and Consultants during the user meetings
• Learn to coordinate with the external design team (architect, civil, MEP engineers, etc.)
• Support the development of detailed design documents including drawings and specifications for systems and supporting infrastructure
• Help to create construction documents
• Support the Designers and Consultants to develop any necessary RFP's for equipment or services necessary to complete projects
• Conduct periodic site visits to ensure contractors adhere to design intent, specifications, quality and objectives
• Support the project Designer and Consultant to develop and manage punch lists for each system
• Support the project Designer and Consultant to develop transition and move plans

Qualifications:

• Working toward obtaining a Bachelor's degree from a 4-year, accredited university in engineering, computer science, or other technical area is required.
• Strong computer skills using MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint etc.
• Commitment to quality and exceeding customer expectations
• Self-motivated and take responsibility for results, and committed to life-long learning
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Must work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, adapt and multi-task in a fast paced, highly dynamic work environment
