Interior Designer/Sales Associate

We are seeking a friendly, customer-oriented individual to join our team as an Interior Designer & Sales Associate. In this role, you will assist customers in finding the right products for their needs, provide exceptional customer service, and contribute to the overall success of the store.

Required Salary:

$16 -18 per hour

Roles and Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greet customers as they enter the store and assist them in finding products.
• Listen to customers' needs and provide knowledgeable recommendations and solutions.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently.
• Maintain a positive and helpful attitude at all times to ensure a pleasant shopping experience for customers.

Product Knowledge:

• Develop a thorough understanding of the products sold in the hardware store, including tools, building materials, home improvement supplies, and more.
• Stay informed about new products, features, and promotions to effectively assist customers and drive sales.
• Provide guidance on product usage, specifications, and compatibility to customers.

Sales and Merchandising:

• Assist with restocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or popular items that need replenishing.
• Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to maximize sales and meet or exceed sales targets.
• Participate in store promotions, sales events, and marketing initiatives to drive traffic and increase sales.

Teamwork:

• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer service.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and management to address any issues or concerns that arise.
• Support other departments as needed, such as cashier duties or receiving shipments.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself, colleagues, and customers.
• Follow store policies and procedures, including cash handling procedures and security measures.
• Stay informed about relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Basic math skills and computer literacy.
• Knowledge of hardware, tools, and home improvement products is a plus.
