Tenant Improvement Interiors is a growing design company specializing in space planning and construction drawings for industrial and office space. Located in the heart of South End, our office is surrounded by a vibrant atmosphere. We create and maintain marketing sheets, perform code research and feasibility studies for our large client list. Our team prides itself on long standing collaborative relationships with both the design teams and clients, while bringing a strong working knowledge of the state and local building and fire codes.
Specialties:
- INDUSTRIAL AND WAREHOUSE TENANT IMPROVEMENTS: including storage, manufacturing, equipment permitting, racking and hazardous materials storage
- OFFICE DESIGN AND PERMITTING
DESIGNER REQUIREMENTS:
- A four year degree from a CIDA (FIDER) accredited Institution
- Commercial Interior Design experience preferred (residential need not apply)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp (preferred) and Microsoft Office
- Experience with code research preferred
- Attention to detail and ability to properly document building and site information
- Strong professional service orientation with excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills
DESIGNER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work conceptually with clients to help them better understand their space planning needs
- Prepare and present preliminary design plans, including electrical and plumbing, for offices and warehouses of varying size under direct supervision
- Candidate will be charged with various projects and must be able to prioritize, while having the flexibility to manage multiple tasks
- Prepare Construction Documents under direct supervision
- Serve as project manager for the engineers during design and construction phases
- Submit drawings and documents to Plan Review Jurisdictions
- Respond to client questions and concerns accurately and efficiently
- Prepare marketing plans for building owners and maintain/update Building CAD files
- Site work to include space verification, client meetings, problem assessment and/or construction administration
- Specify FF&E packages

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
