Job description

Dominique DeLaney Interior Design is seeking a talented Interior Designer with at least 3-4 years of experience in high-end residential design. This position offers an incredible opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and passionate individual to grow with an established design team. This position will work directly with the principal of the firm and is responsible for developing and executing design from the conceptual and presentation stage, through the completion of final installation. The position will be in office, Monday thru Friday 8:30-4:30pm.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support principal with all aspects of design projects
  • Attend Client meetings
  • Create design presentations
  • Create CAD drawings for layout and elevations
  • Collect on-site measurements and photos
  • Select furnishings, furniture, accessories, paint, etc. for projects
  • Project management including developing and managing budgets, selection updates based on stock, price, or delivery issues for first selections, etc
  • Prepare all input for proposal creation and purchasing
  • Work with expeditor on order processing
  • On-site coordination
  • Assist in management of Junior Designer
  • Reporting weekly on project status

Requirements Include:

  • Must hold a degree in Interior Design
  • Must have 3-4 years of professional experience with a design firm, working directly with clients, project managers, and contractors on in-home design projects
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong capabilities in handling and overseeing project from concept through final installation
  • Must be able to work efficiently and effectively under deadlines
  • Proficiency in CAD, Keynote, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency in Mac Operating System, Microsoft Office, and Google Applications
  • Knowledge of Studio Designer software
  • Must possess extensive product and vendor knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and strong time management skills to successfully work on multiple projects
  • Must have well-developed delegation skills
