We are currently seeking an experienced Intelligence Analyst to support a Fortune 500 technology client of ours. As an Intelligence Analyst at Control Risks, you will be responsible for performing monitoring, research, assessment, and analysis on various operational and intelligence platforms and/or feeds.
This role will work either an early morning shift (5 am-1 pm PT or 4 pm-12 am PT).
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze global events to identify and assess threats to the client's specific global operations, assets and personnel
- Monitor social media on a regular basis for threats and security-related intelligence with regard to risks to the client
- Escalate and triage of incidents globally
- Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders as needed to execute job duties
- Assist with production of specific briefings or presentations for broad stakeholder audiences
- Support location-specific intelligence, including active and archived alerts; city and country intelligence; and interactive maps
- Provide email notifications of threats based on geographies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in history, political science, international relations, intelligence analysis, or a related discipline
- 0-2 years of experience in intelligence gathering in the private sector or relevant government experience
- Experience in security analysis and risk assessments
- Proven ability to accurately draw conclusions by synthesizing raw data and information from multiple, unrelated sources into a finished comprehensive product
- Ability to identify and solve complex problems and carry out responsibilities with little or no supervision, at times under adverse and stressful conditions
- Ability to deal effectively with others in order to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts and employ multi-disciplinary analysis with and without systems support
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization and across diverse cultural and language barriers
- Availability to work on emergency situations during off-hours and, if necessary, for an extended period of time
- Ability to quickly adapt to the external environment and organization
- A strong customer service focus and ability to build and maintain trusting relationships
- Ability to be a positive and effective team member
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize
- Ability to work shifts outside of the regular working hours.
- Ability to be on call over federal holidays.
Technical competencies
- Prior related global risk and threat analysis experience
- Experience in collection and analytical methodologies
- Keen understanding of social media monitoring techniques
- Demonstrated interest and/or ability to quickly become an expert user of best-in-class critical event management tools, such as EverBridge
- Proficiency in client workspace product suite; the ability to present information in a graphic format and concise reports
- Excellent research, analytical, writing and verbal presentation skills
The base salary range for this position in California is $70,000-$75,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is provided per California SB 1162 Wage Transparency Law.
