INTAKE SPECIALIST

This position is in Atlanta, Georgia
he Intake Specialist is primarily responsible for assisting in the coordination of case management services for clients’ educational, therapeutic, medical, and placement needs.
individual will also be responsible for ensuring the intake process is streamlined and clear to the service team, while working closely with all team members to ensure intake and discharge timelines are met in accordance with ORR requirements. Additionally, the Intake Specialist will assist the case management team by aiding in the documentation and communication process for clients. Finally, the Intake Specialist will act as the primary point of contact for accepting UC referrals, transfer, and placement from ORR.
This position is expected to function effectively with moderate supervision while following the guidelines given on procedures, along with agency, state, and ORR regulatory requirements. Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
• Organize and attend arranged intakes for the site to ensure staff and clients are apprised of the intake process.
• Complete daily census, discharge, intake, and capacity reporting.
• Effectively coordinate, track, and report intakes and discharges.
• Coordinate and facilitate discharges.
• Conduct case support tasks, such as background checks, address checks, filing, information input, case noting, and coordinate information sharing.
• Provide transportation for arrivals and intakes, as requested.
• Record and maintain accurate and current client records, both electronically and physical case file.
• Assist in the collection, compilation and reporting of program outcome data. • Maintain a log of all correspondence inquiring about the Migrant Wellness Program.
• Collaboratively review files on prospective children to be scheduled for placement with program management. • Responsible for coordinating and facilitation pre-placement calls.
• Attend weekly staff meetings to communicate scheduled intakes, to staff referrals and to keep abreast of potential changes
BS Degree in behavorial sciences, human services, or social services is required.
pRIOR EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH REFUGEE AND/ OR IMMIGRANT POPULATIONS, STRONGLY PREFERRED.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
