Your tasks
- Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements
- Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers
- Prepares lists of required materials, tools, and equipment. Implementation of tool transfers
- Process planning and procurement of assembly equipment (write equipment specification, obtain quotations, follow-up with suppliers, release and buy off of the assembly equipment at the supplier, install and set up assembly equipment at manufacturing plant
- May be required to draw up master schedule to establish sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
- Establish process flow, manufacturing layout, P-FMEA and assembly concept in cooperation with the manufacturing plant and central production planning
- Create standard forms and procedures for production planning
- Support PPAP/ISIR build at manufacturing site
- May be required to prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment
- Adheres to all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and implements all necessary measures for work, health, and environmental protection within the range of responsibility
- Other duties may be assigned
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- Four years of experience in production planning within the automotive industry and mass production with emphasis on Seat Assembly
- Experience with operative Brose processes is may be required
- PPS System (MFG Pro and SAP)
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
