This position will be a member of the In-Store Services department and is aligned closely with Information Technology and Retail Operations support.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain daily communication and prioritization of calls with the K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc.'s Help Desk to ensure adequate service based on timeliness, severity, and geography of issue(s).
- Assist the Help Desk and associates by providing phone and remote support to troubleshoot issues.
- Assist infrastructure teams in troubleshooting store network equipment.
- Service and/or install store systems including but not limited to:
- Point of Sales terminals and peripherals
- Self-Checkout systems
- Fuel controller equipment
- Department Scales
- Time Clocks
- When applicable, this role is responsible for drivers or imaging terminals.
- Perform regular preventative maintenance tasks on supported systems.
- Installation and testing of equipment and software at retail locations' remodels and new stores.
- Travel to and visit retail locations and K-VA-T Food Stores, Inc. offices, as needed to provide repairs, new installs, and general maintenance.
- Responsible for attending on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies through regular attendance.
- Ensure efficient and courteous customer service to store locations in support of the company mission to "Run the Best Store in Town!"
- Other duties, as required.
ADDITIONAL JOB FUNTIONS:
- Maintain accurate records for inventory and mileage of company vehicle and off-site storage facilities.
- Assist other departments with the testing of modified or new programs and applications at retail store level.
- Understand and follow confidentiality policy regarding company information as well as personnel information.
- Other tasks assigned for completion as assigned by Direct Supervisor or Executive Company Official.
- Utilize time management skills and prioritization to accomplish tasks through management team and associates.
- Verification, completion, and distribution of vital department reports, management reports, documents, and paperwork via written, verbal, or e-mail to the appropriate individuals as deemed by supervision and/or policy.
- Complete documentation of activities as required.
- Follow all safety and security measures and guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Previous experience in performing electronic repairs with a mechanical competency in electronics, ability to properly test equipment, basic hand tools, and electronic testing equipment.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods, as well as applicable knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Individual must be able to recognize and understand the functional and operational use of IT signal and power cables as well as low voltage wiring systems, and to perform diagnosis and repair thereof.
- Ability to follow written or spoken directions and to provide information in a clear and concise manner.
- Must have good written and oral communication skills including tact and diplomacy when facing customers providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, work independently, and possess excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to assign work, recognize work related needs, and make recommendations to pursue their successful conclusion and work effectively with a team to complete large projects when applicable.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
- Valid and unrestricted state-issued driver's license, required.
- Ability to attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies through regular attendance.
