Summary:
The International Customer Specialist will perform duties involving document preparation, data entry, file maintenance, effectively coordinating the Company's International Export Traffic process while fully adhering to Customs regulations.Provide courteous and efficient service to all customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)
Proactively manage all aspects of international accounts; not limited to order placement, inventory management and coordinating logistics with minimal errors. Handles multiple priorities without losing detail.

• Executes required export documentation for multiple shipments in various stages of completion in a time sensitive environment.
• Confirm Incoterms and determine most efficient and economical shipping method.
• Process export shipments through our software system and generate the pertinent documents.
• Monitor export shipment status from origin to destination: pick-up, in-transit, Customs clearance, delivery.
• Maintain Export Files and Reports for record keeping compliance.
• Coordinates activities with credit, distribution and shipping. This may include other VE departments and locations, as needed, to ensure timely shipping of orders.
• Timely management of multiple lines of communication between customers and internal parties, maintaining details, and relaying pertinent information to appropriate parties.

Education/Experience:
High school diploma or GED; 2+ years customer service experience required; 2+ year logistic experience preferred
Required Skills:

• Demonstrate skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• MS: Word, Excel and Outlook
• Basic knowledge of JD Edwards or Order processing systems, Inventory Software is a plus
• Effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, freight forwarders and other employees of the organization.
