Job Description
Our client is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. They are a large mechanical, electrical, and plumbing subcontractor in the southwest Ohio region. They have experts on boilers, chillers, cooling towers, industrial piping systems, electrical, plumbing, DDC controls, TAB, VDC Modeling, etc. They invest heavily in supporting their employees whether it"s technology, tools, or training.
They are looking for a mechanical engineer who has extensive HVAC design experience and is willing to enhance their existing skill set to eventually take over for the engineering manager.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attending company meetings to discuss work in progress, corporate issues, budget plans, business plans, and marketing plans on
agreed-upon schedules.
- Engineer retrofit, repair, and replace mechanical projects
- Prepare engineering reports in a timely manner.
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and work as a team player with the members of management and the project
managers.
- Develops multiple relationships with buying influences within the customer"s organization which may include the facility manager,
project managers, or purchasing agent
- Determine client needs and develop an engineered solution.
- Maintaining a sufficient knowledge of products and design criteria needed to analyze and market the department"s adequately
services for related projects.
- Follow up with project managers on the status of engineered work.
- Identify problems on the job site, gather information, and rectify them.
- Assist Service Technicians with job site problems.
- Relay prospective solutions to clients.
- Get feedback from clients during and after job completion.
- Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed Plans, and Programs.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with six years sales experience
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, and piping system for design, estimating, and sales
- Strong presentation skills and oral and written communication skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop solutions.
- Knowledge of Excel, Word & other Microsoft Office products
- A PE License is highly preferred
TRAVEL:
- This position may require up to 50% local travel to meet customers, attend meetings, entertain, etc.
