Human Resources Training Coordinator

CSEngineering is looking to add a Human Resources (HR) Training Coordinator to our growing team! This position will support the US Navy, Directorate of Management (DOM), Personnel Services Division (PSD), Civilian Personnel Branch (CPB) at the Pentagon.

We are looking for a master multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude. Candidates should be able to assist management by handling office tasks, providing polite and professional assistance via phone, mail, and e-mail, and generally being a helpful and positive presence in the workplace.

To be successful as a Human Resources Training Coordinator, candidates should be professional, polite, and attentive while also being accurate. They should always be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly. Human Resources Assistants must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, the HR Training Assistant should have a genuine desire to meet the needs of others.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' general office experience, preferably in a government environment. Demonstrated proficiency with the suite of Microsoft software to include Word, Excel and Outlook. An associate degree in any field of study is a plus.The position requires a Top-Secret clearance.

The primary role of the HR Training Coordinator is to research and identify training systems, and learning management systems on a subscription basis. They are responsible for coordinating and tracking training activities for all staff.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Outlined below are the critical responsibilities for this position:

  • Assist with development of draft version of marketing announcements with key details to Joint Directorate (JDIR) Military Secretariats (MilSecs), supervisors, and potential applicants for review by HR Specialist Program Manager and Chief, CPB.
  • Prepare administrative review of Requests for Authorization, Agreement and Certification of Training (SF-182) in preparation for payment by Program Manager.
  • Prepare administrative and analytical review of application packages of candidates for submission to JSCDAP, Defense Civilian Personnel Advisory Service, and other outside agencies by Program Manager.
  • Provide support for administration and logistics for program selectees and detailees, coordinating logistic details as appropriate.
  • Assist in development of a training catalog of commercial sources targeted to JS personnel for consideration in support of Individual Development Plans (IDPs). Provide updates as necessary to listing from attendees' feedback and class availability.
  • Assist in the creation of learning programs through e-Learning to address professional development and training programs providing employees access to resources for long-term training.
  • Assist with development of monthly 'brown bag' training sessions by assisting with registration, coordination of guest speakers, and administrative maintenance of suggested topics and future speaker dates.
  • Assist with promoting of Joint Staff Learning Management System (LMS) by marketing program, providing brochures (paper and electronic), and providing information to new employees monthly.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining current information in the professional development portal.
  • Create an administrative checklist for systematic review of applicant packages for accuracy and completeness, identifying and requesting missing information as appropriate for programs such as Senior Leader selection boards for MIT Seminar XXI, Key Executive Leadership Certificate Program (KELCP), Defense Civilian Emerging Leader Program (DCELP), Executive Leadership Development Program (ELDP), Defense Senior Leader Development (DSLDP), Federal Executive Institute (FEI), White House Leadership Development Program (WHLDP), National War College (NWC), and Eisenhower School.
  • Support JS training with administrative support of training events such as registration, print requests, development of training slides, program materials (paper and electronic), and logistical requirements for training.
  • Prepare administrative documents for certificates of training as required for distribution.
  • Use equipment and various software programs to create, copy, edit, store, update, retrieve and print a variety of documents; produce correspondence, memoranda, instructions, forms reports; create or maintain spreadsheets or databases, etc. for use by HR Specialists and CPB. Creates documents from rough drafts, documents, written instructions or briefs
  • Transmit, receive and/or acknowledge electronic mail, messages, forms and reports; ensures proper handling and clearance, if required; and prints hard copies or routes to other terminals. Materials created in draft or final form into a variety of formats utilizing terminology common to the program and organization.
  • Provide publicly available information to HR customers. Create help tickets between customers and HR Specialists in order to facilitate support of customer needs.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Security Clearance: Top Secret

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of two (2) years of demonstrated relevant professional experience researching and coordinating training programs.
  • Federal Government experience is preferred.
  • Must have a Top Secret clearance
  • Must be a United States Citizen
