POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Specialist
STATUS: Non-Union
SALARY RANGE: $65,000 to $80,000
HOURS: 40 Hours
SUMMARY:
The Norfolk County Sheriff's Office is seeking Human Resources Specialist with experience/expertise in areas including recruitment, employee relations, HR Management Systems Administration (HRIS/HRMS), performance management, training & development, wellness, policy and compliance. The Human Resources Specialist will be members of a team of Human Resources professionals in an expanding HR Department that serves up to 300 employees, including 200+ labor union members.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• Bachelor's degree or completion of an accredited HR certificate program preferred
• Proven Human Resources or Recruitment work experience
• Experience with HR Management/Information Systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, creative problem solver and decision maker
• Possession of a valid Massachusetts Driver's License

JOB ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is performed under typical office conditions; the noise level is moderate; occasionally may be required to work outside of normal business hours in response to emergency situations outside of normal working hours or for special events.
• Operates computer, printer, video display terminal, recording equipment, telephone, copier, facsimile machine, and all other standard office equipment.
• Has regular, ongoing contact with employees, other departments and the public; communicates in person, by telephone, video conferencing, and social media/direct message.
• Has access to high level confidential information which requires the application of appropriate judgment, discretion and professional office protocols.

HOURS:
40 hours per week.
