M.T. Laney Co. Inc. is an established, successful construction firm in Eldersburg, MD. We seek an experienced, committed, career-minded Human Resources Risk Specialist to join our growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Captive Insurance Liaison
- Effectively manage Workers' Compensation claims
- Participate in Auto/GL claims with the team
- Incident Documentation
- Work with TPA's adjusters and legal counsel
- Manage the completion of Insurance audits
- Participate in Safety Committee and claim review
- Manage 3rd party Safety compliance reporting sites
- Manage OSHA 300 reports
- Manage COI's
- Documenting, understanding, and scheduling inspections/site compliance
- Public Relations
- Other HR duties as assigned
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel
- An outstanding communicator, both orally and written
- Ability to multi-task and work with constant interruptions
- Self-starter who works well independently
- Ability to prioritize given tasks and work efficiently towards completing them
- Ability to work with a large volume of paperwork and data entry
- Detail-oriented and exceptional organizational skills
- Experience with digital file management
- Strong problem solver and analytical thinker
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
SALARY/HOURLY EXEMPTION:
- Full-Time, Salary Position
- Monday to Friday
- Salary is based on knowledge and experience.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

EDUCATION:
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- 2 Years Worker's Comp. claims experience
- Knowledge of Captive Insurance a plus
