HR Internship Development Program Overview:
The GlobalFoundries HR Internship Development Program offers an exciting, 10-to-12-week summer internship designed to develop top students into high-performing HR professionals and exceptional leaders who will make an impact on the future of Semiconductor manufacturing. Interns will gain an understanding of the broad scope of GF business and HR Operating model through a focused, specialized cross-functional project where they will deliver a high-impact assignment to the business.
Summary of Role:
As an Employee Experience Intern, you have the unique opportunity to support high priority initiatives and programs including onboarding, talent branding and creating a best-in-class Employee Experience. During your internship you will not only work alongside the Talent Management team, but you will also gain exposure to various HR functional areas and the corporate communications team as we work collaboratively on many projects and initiatives. Your focus will be on fostering a high-performance culture and creating an environment where employees can thrive, grow, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Learn how to develop innovative solutions to enhance the Employee Experience by driving and increasing employee knowledge and engagement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and assist in developing content for our talent branding initiatives.
- Support a consistent talent brand and corporate image throughout all marketing and communications avenues.
- Collaborate with HR team members and business stakeholders to complete an assigned project with global business impact.
- Share detailed reporting, insights, and feedback to the GF HR leadership team.
- Engage with intern cohort to complete professional development and networking opportunities.
- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs.
Required Qualifications:
- Education - At least a sophomore at the time of application and currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in the field Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications or related field through an accredited degree program during the time of internship.
- Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and be in good academic standing.
- Language Fluency: English (Written & Verbal)
- Ability to work 40 hours per week during the internship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior related internship or co-op experience in an office setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning & organizational skills
- Ability to think creatively & outside the box
- Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.
