Learning Objectives:
- Be involved in all aspects of Human Resources activity.
- Work on key projects or project initiatives as JESCO transforms the HR function.
- Assist with the automation of paper-intensive practices to become digital workflows.
- Interact with HR Team to assist with the Company's most pressing people issues.
- Assist with day-to-day Human Resources and special projects as assigned.
- Assist with recruitment and interview process.
- Assist with data integrity issues with the HR technology platform.
- Assist with pre-employment process including drafting offer letters, processing background checks, arranging physicals and drug screens, preparing and receiving new hire paperwork.
- Assist with annual performance management process.
- Assist with designing and implementing performance based compensation.
- Assist with preparation of Human Resources reports such as recruiting, staffing, and leaves of absence. Become proficient in ad hoc report writing in response to management and leadership inquiries on its human capital management issues and goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:
- Internship is open to current freshmen through seniors working toward a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Human Resources, business or organizational management with a minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
Knowledge, Skills, Attitude, and Abilities:
- Strong organizational and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn, work with, and take direction from a team of highly experienced HR professionals.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves to perform necessary routine tasks to successful completion.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of job responsibilities.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications; experience with HRIS helpful.
- Must have reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Work in corporate office setting and ability to transverse inside and outside heavy equipment sales, rentals, parts, and repair shop environments as needed.
