Vibrant is searching for a Human Resources (HR) Assistant who will support our mission by assisting with a wide range of HR coordination activities, such as creating and maintain HR documents in compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations and supporting recruitment, onboarding activities and daily support. This person must demonstrate high organizational skills, attention to detail, self-motivated, as well as verbal and written communication skills.

Requirements:
Basic Functions
The HR Assistant is responsible for a wide range of HR coordination activities, such as creating and maintaining HR documents in compliance with State and Federal rules and regulations and supporting recruitment and onboarding activities.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining employee databases
- Maintain proper and compliant employee records
- Complete background checks and OIG checks
- Create and maintain reports
- Develop/improve direct care staff training material or resources
- Participate in internal and external meetings as required
- Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
- Answer phones during high call volume or when Service Coordinators are unable
- Assist Staffing Coordinator with interviewing and hiring new staff as needed
- Provide ongoing support/mentorship for direct care staff
- Build positive relationships with direct care staff
- Always represent the agency professionally
- Other duties as assigned
Essential Qualifications:
- Computer/keyboarding skills: Microsoft office, excel, PowerPoint, Adobe
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to provide customer service to all types of people of different age, race, gender, socioeconomic status, and special needs.
- Ability to engage with and work well with diverse direct care staff/direct support staff.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Have a positive attitude and be a team player
- Self-motivated and strong attention to detail
Special Requirements:
- Ability to drive to work site locations
- Valid Driver’s License and auto insurance
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs., bend, twist, kneel, reach, push, pull and carry
