Human Resources (Hr) Assistant

American Bolt Corporation is looking for a Human Resources Assistant to join our growing HR team. Are you about to graduate or are you a recent graduate from an HR Management Associate degree or Bachelor degree program? Do you want to create and maintain programs that make the workplace better? QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.
• Previous HR internship or administrative HR experience preferred.

WORK SCHEDULE

The start date for this position will be April 2024 or later (will wait for graduation).

This full-time HR position will work in the office Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (manager is flexible) 40 hours per week.

AS A HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT, YOU WILL

• Manage and maintain employee files in accordance with state and federal laws.
• Coordinate with managers to update job descriptions and position agreements, and maintain updated files on server and appropriate file folders.
• Assist Human Resources Manager with materials and systems needs for programs like recruitment, benefits, performance management, FMLA, Worker's Compensation, and safety.
• Coordinate with managers to maintain program data, files, and information - including performance management, development, training, safety, etc.
• Assist Human Resources Manager with creation of new forms, slideshows, documents, company shared information, and processes that promote an organizational culture of teamwork and service, high quality, transparency, accountability, innovation, diversity and inclusiveness.
• Actively lead Event Committee within established budget, and participate in meetings.
• Support Human Resources department goals.
• Assist in enhancing established programs focused on employee development and metrics.

WHO YOU ARE

You have strong computer skills, and are extremely comfortable in Office 365 or equivalent (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook). You are tech savvy enough to figure out our HR system. You are emotionally intelligent, and you have healthy confidence. You are receptive to changes and have a flexible work style. You adjust with ease to fit the circumstances. You understand that different situations may require different approaches. You have resilience - employee issues can become negative but you can't. You have a desire to learn our business. You prefer to generate your own new ideas and approaches to continuously improve (you prefer independence over being told every task).

This HR position offers a starting pay between $21.00-$22.00 per hour. American Bolt also offers a profit-sharing bonus opportunity to all employees!
