Create Music Group is an LA-based digital music company that provides artists and labels with distribution, rights management, and creative services. We monetize billions of monthly music streams and have collected over millions in previously unclaimed revenue for artists and labels. Clients include Ice Spice, Future, JLo, City Girls, Slander, Marshmello, Don Diablo, Trippie Redd, Migos, and more.
SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for processing US payroll biweekly and semi monthly and manage benefits, offboarding, and training and development for staff of all levels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage multi state payroll processing for biweekly and semi monthly payroll for US employees.
- Serve as an HR point of contact for all US employees, providing support and answering questions to help staff navigate aspects of benefits administration, compliance, HRIS, time & attendance, payroll processing, etc.
- Process system transactions for employment changes in our HRIS, Rippling (pay changes, promotions, terms, etc.)
- Maintain and update internal human resource files, records, and documentation
- Manage new hire & ongoing benefits administration including maintaining a close relationship with our benefits broker and other benefits providers to distribute materials from carriers, assist with communicating changes to employees and conducting employee presentations and processes changes within deadlines
- Facilitate the employee exit and offboarding process and properly document all terminations
- Ensure all policies, procedures and programs are communicated and administered consistently
- Plan and lead Manager training and development program
- May assist with planning HR in office events
- Support and own other special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field
- 3+ years of relevant HR experience
- Strong knowledge of employment and compliance laws in multiple states, especially in California
- Previous experience with multi state payroll processing
- Previous experience working in a startup environment
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and possess high integrity
- High attention to detail, organized, problem-solver, critical thinker and multi-tasker
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, constantly changing start-up environment
- Ability to lead and manage independently and in a team environment
- Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality on any and all HR related matters
- Ability to have a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness
- Proficient with G Suite or related software. Rippling or multiple HRIS experience is a plus
PAY SCALE:
- $75,000 - $80,000/annually
