Overview: IDEMIA is hiring an HR Generalist to be located on-site in our unionized manufacturing facility in Exton, PA. The HR Generalist will consult with, advise, and collaborate with Exton Leadership on a range of strategic and tactical Human Resources (HR) matters including employee relations, compliance, compensation, performance management, payroll, labor relations, organizational and talent development, staffing, and benefits.
This role will collaborate very closely with Exton leadership on all HR matters and will work closely with individual employees on tactical matters such as pay, complaints, grievances, etc. This role also interacts regularly with our labor union leaders. A critical element of this role is being able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and providing exceptional employee and manager service.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide day-to-day onsite HR support to employees and managers. Examples include answering employee questions, onboarding new employees & ensuring all onboarding documents are completed on time, offboarding employees, etc.
- Build strong working relationships with Exton leaders and provide clear and effective counsel on all HR issues, including performance feedback, progressive discipline, and employment law.
- Maintain knowledge of labor/union issues and best practices in order to promote positive labor relations. This includes working in union environment, understanding & managing through a collective bargaining agreement and building strong relationships with union leadership.
- Coach leaders and managers to develop and enhance their leadership and management effectiveness, demonstrating alignment with Company values
- Monitor employee climate to identify issues/trends and develop recommendations for problem solving with business units as appropriate. Develop solutions to implement with the business units.
- Ensure all employee-related issues (performance, complaints, grievances are addressed and documented in accordance with IDEMIA policy and the collective bargaining agreement. Must be proficient in conducting investigations.
- Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills along with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Possess strong customer service orientation
- Self-directed and motivated. Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
