Job Description
Purpose / General Description: The Human Resources Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including enforcing company policies and practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using Human Resources management system software.
- Interpret and explain Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
- Explain company personnel policies, and procedures to employees.
- Conduct verifications of employment.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute Human Resources programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in Human Resources, talent management, and employment law.
- As part of the HR Team, cross train in all HR roles and responsibilities
- Answer questions regarding, eligibility, salaries, and other pertinent information.
- Record employee information, such as exemptions, transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
Education and Experience:
- At least two years of Human Resources experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
Work Location: Fayetteville, NC
- This position is 100% in-person.
